ELTON-Funeral services for Mrs. Regina Bushnell, 80, will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at 11:00 A. M. with the visitation beginning at 9:00 A. M. at St. Joseph C. C. in Elton, LA.
Burial will be in St. Mathilda C. C. Cemetery. Father Jose Vattakunnell will officiate the funeral mass.
On Friday, September 28, 2018, the Angels of the Lord descended on Opelousas General Hospital in Opelousas, LA and escorted Regina to her Heavenly home.
Filled with empty wells of loneliness will be six children: David (Denise) Bushnell of Eunice, LA, Regina Bellow of Duralde, LA, Paul (Joyce) Bushnell and Judith Bushnell both of Lake Charles, LA, Albert Bushnell of Lafayette, LA and Mary Bushnell of Elton, LA; two sisters-in-law: Shirley Bellard and Kathi Bellard; 16 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband: George Bushnell; her parents: Alsan and Mary Bellard, Sr.; three sisters: Frances Kraft, Mary Corina (Moses) Johnson and Marie Bellard; two brothers: Rogers (Eva) Bellard and Alsan Bellard, Jr. ; and one son-in-law: Joseph Bellow.
Owens-Thomas Funeral Home of Eunice is in charge of arrangements.
