PLYMOUTH - Jamie David Ray, of Orchard Street, Terryville, husband of Gina (Gates) Ray, died Saturday, May 12, 2007, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Jamie was born July 18, 1960, in Gardner, Mass. He was the son of David A. and Joyce (Allain) Ray of Warwick, Mass., and had been a resident of Terryville for the past 15 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran stationed in Hawaii and the Philippines as a jet mechanic. He was employed by Pratt & Whitney of Cheshire for the past 20 years. Jamie was a member of Central Baptist Church, Southington. Jamie was an avid hunter and motorcycle rider and was a member of the N.R.A., member and range officer at High Rock Shooting Association and member of the Eastern Four Wheelers. Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, David A. and Kristin Ray II of Terryville; his grandson, Jamie Ray II, who will be born June 14; a daughter, Vanessa Ray of Terryville; three brothers, Timothy Ray of Greenville, N.H., Scott Ray of Gorham, Maine, and Daniel Ray of Marlow, N.H.; a sister, Gina Johnson of Leyden, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Central Baptist Church, Southington. Burial with military honors will be Wednesday 11:30 a.m. at Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon, Mass. Friends may call at Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St., Terryville, today, from 6 to 8 p.m.
