Mr. Adams was born April 23, 1919, in Sapulpa, Okla., to Elcie and Mamie Jones Adams.
Mr. Adams grew up in Oklahoma and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He had lived in Tyler for the past 57 years and was retired from Tyler Pipe. Mr. Adams was married to his loving wife, Imogene Beard Adams, for 62 years before her death in April of 2008.
Surviving are two sisters, Wanda and Pat; several nieces and nephews, including Stephen Hutchins of Larue.
