Marita (Murphy) O'Neill, 90, formerly of New Britain, died early Friday Morning (Sept. 28, 2018). Born in Norwalk, CT, the daughter of the late Ambrose and Grace (Hefferan) Murphy, she lived many years in New Britain, moving to Cromwell in 2016. During her career, she was a teacher and had worked at the American Savings Bank. A longtime member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, she also belonged to the ladies Guild of the church, was a volunteer at St. Francis Middle School library and a Literacy Volunteer.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. O'Neill is also survived by three daughters, a son, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two sisters, and several nieces and nephews.
