Funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at the Kiowa gym for Lester M. Freeman, 78, of Kiowa, who died in a McAlester hospital Tuesday after a short illness. Mr. R. L. Page will officiate. Burial will be in the Masonic Section of Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of Chaney's Funeral Home. Masonic services will be conducted by the Kiowa Lodge. He was born in LaFayette, Tenn. Oct. 28, 1884 and came to Oklahoma in 1907. He was retired from the US Naval Ammunition Depot and was a farmer and rancher. He was a member of the Church of Christ, Masonic Lodge and Shrine. His wife preceded him in death Sept. 18, 1948. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Eddie Lucas of St. Louis, Mo.; a brother, Bethel Freeman of Ponca City; two sisters, Mrs. Amy Raleigh of Savanna and Mrs. Walter Tyler of McAlester, and one grandson. Bearers will be members of the Kiowa Masonic Lodge.
