Margaret Ruth Baker, a woman who loved the Lord and loved serving Him with all her heart and soul, was born December 13, 1930 to Roy William Baker and Edna Mae Willis Baker. Margaret Ruth passed from this world to sit next to her Heavenly Father on July 24, 2018 in San Antonio, TX.

Margaret Ruth graduated from high school in Uvalde, TX and later graduated from Texas Woman’s University. Margaret Ruth lived in San Antonio, TX in her home on top of her beautiful hill for 30 plus years. It was her haven and gave her much joy, comfort and peace.

Margaret Ruth’s lifelong mission was bringing people to Christ and spreading the gospel by the giving of Bibles, which she placed all over the world. She founded Word Ministries, a nonprofit, tax-deductible, interdenominational Christian organization to disperse the Word of God to the four corners of this Earth. She was also the author of two beautiful Christian books: His Words Heal Body, Mind and Soul and A Long Love Letter. These books were shared with many and were also given out to prison ministries. Margaret Ruth truly touched, influenced and brought many, many souls into the Kingdom of God.

Margaret Ruth is survived by her niece, Bonnie Baker-Goodwin, her husband, Robbie Goodwin, and great nephew, Braden Baker Goodwin of Rocksprings, TX, nephew, Olen Devlin Baker of Martindale, TX and niece, Lisa Baker of Junction, TX. Margaret Ruth was preceded in death by her father and mother, Roy William and Edna Mae Baker and her brother, Bill.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Sharon Castleberry and Mike Warren for their love and care of Aunt Margaret over the last several years. Thank you, Sharon and Mr. Warren, from the bottom of our hearts.
