KENNETH GAMBLE Columbiana


Kenneth H.Gamble Sr., 88, of Fairfield Ave. died a 11:38 a.m. Saturday at Salem Community Hospital following a brief illness. Born April 4,1911, in Blacklick, Pa., he was the son of Clarence and Olive Fredricks Gamble. A Columbiana resident since 1945, he worked at NRM in Columbiana for 38 years, retiring in 1976. He attended the Columbiana Church of the Nazarene. He was an antique tractor enthusiast.

His wife, Edna E. Forsha Gamble, whom he married Nov. 1, 1934, died Jan. 18, 1988.

Survivors include: three daughters, Mrs. Richard (Delores) Helman of Columbiana, Mrs. Albert (Betty) Pittman, of Coulterville, Calif., and Mrs. David (Debbie) Scyoc of Leetonia; five sons: Kenneth H.Gamble Jr. James Lealie Gamble, William C. Gamble and Robert L. Gamble all of Columbiana, and Gerald L. Gamble of Salem; 18 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister and four brothers.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Columbiana Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Cecil A. Jones officiating. Burial will be in Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Canfield. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Sanderly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana and at the church an hour prior to the services Tuesday.

Memorial tributes may be made to the Way Station of Columbiana.
