Mercille was born to Lenore Greenwood and Orville McFarland in Los Angles on April 10th, 1934. Her mother left soon after for Minneapolis Minnesota and married a man by the last name of Anderson. Mercille attended Minneapolis public Schools until age 11 years old. At that time she moved in with her Uncle Harlen Greenwood and his wife Rose in Minnetonka Minnesota. She then attended Groveland Elementary School in Minnetonka, Deephaven Junior High and Minnetonka High School. She met her first and only husband Edward Emitt Watts while she was a young girl as she was best friends with his sister Kay Watts. They divorced about 1963, Mercille worked for the V.A. Hospital for most of her career in Los Angles.
Proceeded in death by Mother Lenore Greenwood Anderson, Father Orville McFarland, Grandfather Lawrence Henry Greenwood , Grandmother Laura Caroline Harle Greenwood, Uncles Harlen and Glen Greenwood. Cousins Jimmy Greenwood, Beverly Greenwood Roach, Carol Greenwood Sachs, and Jon Greenwood.
Mercille leaves behind two son's Lawrence Edward Watts and Lawrence Rethwisch , Three granddaughter's Tina and Laura Watts, and Cortney Rethwisch, one great granddaughter Dottie. And first cousins Thomas Greenwood, Suzanne Greenwood, Roxanne Greenwood Mikkelson and many other cousins and friends.
