Charles “Chuck” Joseph Kingsley

A life well lived, the family of Charles “Chuck” Joseph Kingsley announce his passing on October 7th 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital while surrounded by loved ones. Chuck has been reunited with the love of his life, his wife Shirley J. (Bent) Kingsley. He was born on July 28th, 1925 to the late Angus and Catherine (Spencer) Kingsley in Port Hastings, Cape Brenton, N.S. 

Charles was a brave man, serving his country in WWII. Chuck had a passion for music, particularly classical; he was a musician and enriched the lives of his children by playing all the greats. He always loved a good joke and having a drink of Irish whiskey with friends. Chuck also enjoyed playing Tuesday and Thursday night TV Bingo. 

Charles will be missed by his seven children; Cathy (Terry), Bonnie (Brian), Brian (Edith), Mary Ann (Michael), Trudy (Wallace) and Charlie, 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and 4 great- great grandchildren on the way. 

He is predeceased by his parents, dear wife Shirley, daughter Wendy and grandchildren Sean and Jennifer. 

Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John NB, E2M2L3. 506-799-5699. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 10th, 2018 from 12:00 Noon – 2:00PM. A Funeral service will follow at 2:00PM in Castle “Fallsview” Chapel. Interment will follow in Lepreau Cemetery
