Brenton "Brent" Earlen Walker

Marion - Brenton "Brent" Earlen Walker, 69, passed away at 5:29 p.m. Sunday, October 7, 2018 at his residence.

He was born in Hartford City on March 16, 1949 to Lloyd Francis Walker and Martha M. (Pursifull) Walker. He grew up in Hartford City on the Walker Country Cousins Farm that his parents owned.

Brent graduated from the last class to graduate from Montpelier High School in 1969. He received his Associate's Degree in business from Vincennes University in 1972.

He retired from 3M Company in 2011 after 31 years of service. He attended St. James Lutheran Church in Marion. He was a member of Tri-State Gas Engine and Tractor Association in Portland, Tennessee Walking Horse Club of Indiana, Montpelier Saddle Club and Zion Lutheran Church in Hartford City. He was a 10 year Blackford County 4-H member where he was selected by the Blackford Jr. Leaders to attend a Washington DC Tour.

Brent married Nancy K. (Hodge) on June 15, 1985 at the First Baptist Church in Dunkirk. She precedes him in death on April 4, 2013.

He will be sadly missed by his son, Donald Eugene (wife, Kathy A.) Miskinis of Dunkirk; grandchildren, Amanda R. Morrison (fiancé, Michael Buchtel), Donald Ryan (wife, Jessica) Miskinis and Harlaina T. Knapp; great-grandchildren, Ivy Buchtel and Chloe Miskinis; brother, Gaylen E. (wife, Fran) Walker of English, IN; sisters, Myrna J'neane (husband, Michael) Sowers of Crawfordsville and Marlene Kay (husband, Ross) Foxworthy of Crawfordsville; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and daughter, Drema Kay Miskinis-Lykins.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, October 12, 2018 at Zion Lutheran Church, 308 S. Monroe St., Hartford City. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High St. Hartford City and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, October 12, 2018 at Zion Lutheran Church.
