Son of Franklin D. and Regina Herron Allhands.
Married Jacqueline Sept. 5, 1959. She survives.
Also surviving are children Jerri Lynn (Cliff) Craft, Kristi (Jason) Fulton and Cindi Light; brother Phil (Laura) Allhands; sister Joyce (Jim) Riser; 8 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, youngest sister Carolyn Haney, grandson Andrew and nephew Jason Haney.

Graduate of Coal Creek Central High School in New Richmond.

He moved out west earning a degree in Business Education from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ and a Masters in Counseling degree from Cal State LA.

Taught and counseled at-risk teens in El Rancho Unified school system for 38 years.

When he retired he continued to pursue his passions of antiques, and gardening while farming with his cousin Tyler Nannet in New Richmond, IN.

Funeral services 2pm Thursday at Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church, officiated by Rev. Dr. John Van Nuys. Visitation noon until time of service.
