Services for George Edwin Arms, 70, Durham, North Carolina, formerly of Sparta, were held June 18 at First Presbyterian Church, Durham, with the Rev. Joseph S. Harvard officiating. Mr. Arms died June 16 following a long illness. He had lived in Durham since 1945 and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was associated with the Uzzle Cadillac-Oldsmobile Motor Co. from January 1946 until January 1986. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Durham, where he served as a deacon. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; one daughter, Kyle A. Lemke, Durham; one son, Thomas H. Arms, San Jose, Calif.; six brothers, Gilbert Arms, Maryville, Claude Arms, Hamilton, Irwin Arms, Tulsa, Okla., Earl Arms, Springfield, John Arms, San Jose, Calif. and Glenn Arms, Waterloo, Iowa; one sister, Irma A. Watts, Ozark; and three grandchildren
