J. ALEX FULTON,77, R.3, Kenton, a retired farmer and carpenter, working with Alpha Ruble in the latter capacity, died at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Hardin Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for 10 days. He was born December 18,1896 in Belle Center and had spent his entire life in that area. His parents were Charles A. and Ella Schultz Fulton. His mother died many years ago and his father was claimed on election day, November 5, 1940. The deceased was a member of the Belle Center United Presbyterian Church, had served two terms as a trustee for Taylor Creek Township, was a World War I veteran and a charter member of the Willard Stout Post of the American Legion, Belle Center.

On May 13, 1919, he was married to the former Mary G. Tough, who survives with a daughter, Mrs. Wilfred O. (Eula Mae) McKirahan, R. 3, Kenton; three grandchildren, Mrs. Robert (Joyce) Ohler, Jr., R. 1, Belle Center; Mrs. Kenneth (Nancy) Young, Belle Center; and Joe McKirahan, R. 3, Kenton; also, one great granddaughter, Amy Michelle Young. Remaining also are a brother, Don Fulton, Lewisburg, and a half-brother, Postmaster William Fulton, Belle Center. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Margaret Tarbill in 1970. Funeral services will be conducted from the Hilty Funeral Home in Belle Center, and burial will follow in the Belle Center Fairview Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Ohler, Jr., Kenneth Young, Ivan Stout, Joseph Stout, Emerson Dillon, and Pearl Goff.
