Jimmy R. LaShure, age 84, life long resident of Elwood, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at St. Vincent Anderson Hospital.

Jimmy was born on October 7, 1934, in Elwood to the late Charles and Maude (Baily) LaShure. Jimmy served his country in the Army National Guard. On October 8, 1994 he married Janice (Buster) LaShure. Jimmy retired in 1997 , from Cerden's & Son manufacturing of Frankton after 22 years. He enjoyed hunting & fishing. He loved spending time with his family.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, of 25 years, Janice (Buster) LaShure of Elwood, son, Bryan (Toni) LaShure of Elwood, daughter, Tanja Scott of Alexandria, 8 grandsons; Anthony Hamm, Bradley (Erin) Hamm, Thomas LaShure, Nicholas (Emily) LaShure, Dylan (Christina) LaShure, James LaShure, Travis (Nikki) LaShure and Trenton LaShure, 15 great grandchildren, 4 step children, Trish Swindell, Virginia Chilton, and Michael Rogers all of Anderson and Earl Rogers of MN, 19 step grandchildren and 26 step great grandchildren. Several nieces & nephews.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents Charles & Maude LaShure, his first wife, Sharron LaShure, 3 sons, Edward LaShure, James LaShure and Trent LaShure, 5 sisters, Mary Granger, June Tomlinson, Maude Phifer, Agnes and Mary Lou, 3 brothers, Homer LaShure, Howard (Bud) LaShure and Wayne LaShure.

Funeral services celebrating Jimmy's life will be at 1:00 pm Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Dunnichay Funeral Home, in Elwood with family members Trish Swindell and Toni LaShure officiating. Burial will follow in the Elwood Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Elwood VFW honor guard. Visitation will be Monday, October 15, 2018, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, and on Tuesday two hours prior to the service at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson Street, Elwood, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help the family.
