Alan Shane Letcher, 48, Saltwell Road, Owingsville, Kentucky passed away Friday, October 12, 2018 at the St. Joseph-Mt. Sterling Hospital. He was born in Montgomery County, Kentucky on December 24, 1969 the son of William "Tommy" Letcher and the late Delena Blevins Letcher. He was a former factory worker at Hoffman and a member of the Church of the Harvest. He enjoyed woodworking and crafts.
He is survived by his father, William "Tommy" Letcher of Owingsville, KY; two daughters, Tia Marie Letcher of Jeffersonville, KY and Jade Renee Ana Letcher of Paris, KY; a son, Alan Shane Letcher, Jr. of Paris, KY; two sisters, Audrey (Roger) Conkright of Owingsville, KY and Anita Castle of Stanton, KY; two grandchildren, Rylee Underwood and Ethan Underwood; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
There will be a Graveside service at the Letcher Family Cemetery at 2 PM, Wednesday, October 17, 2018 with Audrey Conkright officiating. Pallbearers will be Michael Ratliff, Hunter Martin, Skyler Martin, Josh Conkright, A. J. Letcher, James Meyers, Rhoda Hoy and Rachel Letcher. Honorary pallbearer will be Ethan Underwood. In lieu of flowers donations suggested to Alan Letcher Funeral Fund, c/o Taul Funeral Home, 109 E. Main St., Mt. Sterling, KY 40353.
