Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Forest Hill Funeral Home Midtown with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery Midtown. He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran. Mr. Abernethy, the widower of Marion Koffman Abernethy, leaves a sister, Lucille A. Terry of Memphis, and a brother, William Abernethy of Water Valley, Miss. The family requests that any memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
