He retired from Defense Logistics Agency where he worked in quality assurance.
He was a member of the Monroe County School Board, Gosport Masonic Lodge and Flippin Volunteer Fire Department.
Military:
He served his country honorably and was a United States Air Force Veteran.
Predeceased by:
His parents; one brother: Buddy Abbitt and one sister: Sandra Hale.
Survivors:
His wife; one daughter: Mary Ann Fye; two granddaughters: Ashley Fye and Erin Fye; one brother: Jerry Abbitt; one sister: Charolette Pannell ; several nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.
