Funeral services for James Willie Bell, 95, of Many, LA, will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Fort Jesup with Rev. Claude Weatherford, Dr. Allen Miller, Rev. Richard Partridge and Bro. Wade Penfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Ft. Jesup Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at 6:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Fort Jesup.
James Willie Bell was born on Sunday, February 11, 1923 in Lake End, LA. He passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018 at Many Health Care North in Many, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Riley Bell and Lillian Viever (Peacock) Bell; sisters, Doretta Self, Una McComic and Ruby Howard; and brother, Bobby Joe Bell.
He is survived by his wife Velma Bell of Many, LA; daughter, Carolyn Davis and husband David of Many, LA; daughter, Cathy Reed and husband Jerry of Ft. Jesup, LA; son, Greg Bell and wife Tammy of Ft. Jesup, LA; seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers: Bryan Davis, Kristopher Dees, Truman Dees, Tommy Lane, Dr. Thomas Cook and Greg Bailey.
