Roy Paul Benoit, 84, a resident of Brookhaven, MS passed away October 15, 2018 at Select Specialty; Baptist Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be Thursday October 18, 2018 at Hartman Jones Funeral Home in McComb from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will continue on Friday from 11:00 AM until services at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Pike Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Benoit was born January 16, 1934 in Louisiana to Wallace Benoit and Anita Bourgeois Benoit. He was raised in Thibodaux, LA. He was of the Catholic faith. He worked in the construction industry as a Quality Control Supervisor. He had many hobbies, some of which included hunting and gardening.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mabel Benoit Gonzales and Pearl Hebert Adams; a brother, Harry Benoit; two grandchildren, Mindy Smith and Kristen Hessler.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice Furlow Benoit; four sons and daughters-in-law; Darell Paul Benoit and Shelia of Covington, LA, Keith Herrington and Mary of Brookhaven, MS, Dewayne Herrington and Jere of Senatobia, MS and Kevin Herrington and Pam of Brookhaven, MS; three daughters and sons-in-law, Susan Benoit McBeth and Mike of Diamondhead, MS, Cindy Benoit Landry and Brent of Marrero, LA and Donna Benoit Smith and Jim of Kiln, MS; a sister, Agnes Benoit Breaux of Shriever, LA; sisters-in-law, Aline Allen of Brookhaven, MS and Margie Smith of Wesson; eighteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and a host of friends.
