Naomi was raised on the family farm in Dry Point Township and attended Pleasant Grove Country School. She married Kenny Barr on June 13, 1959 in Pinckneyville, Illinois.
Naomi Barr was a member of Herrick Baptist Church and was previously employed as a school bus driver, railroad cook, wallpaperer, and cake decorator. Other memberships included American Legion Auxiliary, Herrick Home Extension, Lioness Club, and Order of the Eastern Star.
Naomi Barr is survived by her husband, Kenny Barr of Herrick, Illinois; daughter, Diana J. Rhodes (Dean) of Decatur, Illinois; sisters, Inez Walker of Herrick, Illinois; Irma Durbin of Pana, Illinois and Nancy Chamberlain of Herrick, Illinois; grandsons, Jeffrey Rhodes (Monta) of Decatur, Illinois; Scott Rhodes (Pam) of Decatur, Illinois and Brian Rhodes (Megan) of Prosper, Texas and great-grandchildren, Andrew, Macy, Ian, Hunter and Asher. Barr is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Thomas Hesse, Bud Watson and brothers, Calvin and Gene Watson who died in childhood and sister, Lulla Belle Renfro.
