Mrs. Brooks passed away Thursday evening, Oct. 11, 2018, at Bethesda Health Care Center.
She was born Aug. 29, 1925, in Greenfield, Tennessee, to the late Arthur and Euna Dodson Danner.
Mrs. Brooks was a homemaker and member of Bangham Heights Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Jim (Helen) Brooks and Joe (Lisa) Brooks, all of Cleveland, Tennessee; two daughters, Diane (Virgil) Moore of Franklin, Kentucky, and Kathy (Bob) Raymer of Cookeville; nine grandchildren, Leann Brooks, Michelle Banther, David (Stephanie) Brooks, Danny (Lisa) Brooks, Traci Johnson, Chris Johnson (fiance, Abby Cross), Jason Whittaker, Kyle Brooks (fiance, Nikki Lewis), and Graham Brooks; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Brooks; four brothers, Lee, Horace, Grady, and Ray Danner; and an infant sister, Virginia May Danner.
Mrs. Brooks grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
