The family requests that visitation be observed at Hixson Brothers, Alexandria Friday, September 21, 2018 from 5:00-6:30 p.m.
Our sweet most wonderful mother passed into the arms of Jesus on Monday, September 17, 2018.
She asked that we share how God has blessed her in many ways with a wonderful husband, 5 children, 12 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren, as well as many close friends and a loving church family, all of whom she loved dearly and that “To God be the Glory”.
Her example of loving and serving her Lord by caring for so many was an inspiration to all. During her life, it was her privilege to serve alongside her husband, as co-owner of Cenla Restaurant Supply for many years.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, John Wayne Gremillion, Sr.; parents, Will D. and Nannie C. Ladner Barrett; sister, Dot Lummus; brothers, Hayward Barrett, Doug Barrett, and Ray Barrett.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Nanette Brocato (Kenny), Jan Soulé (Bob), Debbie Kelly (Pat), Terrie Gremillion and John Wayne Gremillion, Jr. (Marcia).
Honored to serve as pallbearers will include her grandson’s, Michael Brocato, Adam Kelly, and Scott Soulé as well as Lane Word, Dustin Matthews, and Brian Phillips. Honorary Pallbearers are Tim Chalas, Josh Scobee, Matthew Barkas, Johnny Martin, Cilton Bordelon, and Steve Bonial.
Memorials can be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home, 7200 Desiard Street, Monroe, LA 71203.
