MRS. AARON BAKER. NEWAYGO—Mrs. Aaron Baker, 95, of Sparta, died Wednesday at Frick Nursing Home, Conklin, after a long illness. The former Alice Darling, she was born in Saginaw County April 17, 1868, and was married to Aaron Baker at Elk March 26, 1889. He survives. The couple celebrated their 74th wedding anniversary this year. Mrs. Baker was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Sparta, and before that was a member of Seventh Day Adventist churches in Muskegon and Rothbury. In those churches she was superintendent and a teacher in Sabbath Schools. The couple farmed in Blue Lake Township north of Twin Lake for many years. They also lived in Rothbury in Ocenaa County before moving to Sparta. Surviving are two sons, Maurice of Muskegon and Seth of Ferry; three daughters, Mrs. Anna Gilbert of Rothbury, Mrs. Eva Witham of Muskegon Heights and Mrs. Myrtle Tillottson of Sparta; 20 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. The body is at Pieschel Funeral Home, Newaygo.

Mrs. Baker's Services Set. NEWAYGO – Funeral services for Mrs. Aaron Baker, 95, of Sparta, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pieschel Funeral Home with burial in Blue Lake Cemetery. Mrs. Baker died Wednesday at a nursing home in Conklin after a long illness. She had resided on a Blue Lake Township farm for many years.
