Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 A.M. Thursday at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator. Msgr. Philip Halfacre will officiate.
Visitation will be from 9-11 A.M. Thursday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.
Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Streator. Pallbearer will be her nephews, Ken Roach, Jr., Sean Couch, Josh Roach, Tony Farino, Jordan Vadas and John Lausus.
Born October 17, 1929 in Streator she was the daughter of George and Susan (Hozie) Vadas. She married Harold E. Blakemore on October 16, 1954 at St. Stephen’s Church, Streator. He preceded her in death on June 21, 1983.
She is survived by a daughter, Denice (Kirk) Melody of Lake Wildwood; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great-nieces and nephews survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and brothers, George, John and Edward Vadas.
Born and raised in Streator she attended St. Stephen’s Grade School and Streator High School.
She worked through the years for Streator Canning and later worked in the Cafeteria at St. Stephen’s School.
She lived in Streator her lifetime. She was a lifelong member of St. Stephen’s Church and currently belonged to St. Michael the Archangel Church.
