Death Claims Mrs. Whitaker At Age of 83

BUHL, March 2 — Mrs. Laura May Roland Whitaker, 83, died Sunday noon at the Skyview manor of a short illness. She was born March 15, 1890, in Monroe county, Mo. She came to Buhl on Feb. 1919, from Missouri. She was married to William L. Whitaker on Dec. 23, 1900, in Sheldon, Mo. She is a lifelong member of the Christian church. She was preceded in death by a daughter.

Survivors, besides her husband, are a son, O. R. Whitaker, Salem, Ore.; two brothers, Glen Roland, Buhl, and Elt Roland, Kansas City, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. Eva Newlan, Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. Ruth Griffith, Jerome, and two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Buhl First Christian church with the Rev. Delmar Talley officiating. Final rites will be at the Buhl cemetery.
