She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William (Bill) Dressler, CMSgt., US Air Force, Ret. and is survived by their six children: sons, William R. Dressler of Gloucester; Ronald Dressler of Newport News; daughters, Katherine Yates of Tabb and Donna Jones (Robby) of Tabb, Deborah Henriksen (Richard) of Huntsville, Texas and Cinda Dressler (Sam) of Graham, N.C.; seven grandchildren: Malia Hines, Richelle Henriksen, Jeff Yates, Jenna Collier, Ashley Korth, Amanda Jones and Bobby Jones; and great-grandchildren Eli Korth, Aiden Hines and Amora Hines, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins across North America.
As a military wife, she followed her husband to Air Force bases in Germany and the Philippines. They lived in stateside bases in Maine, North Carolina, South Carolina, New Mexico, Louisiana, Arizona and Virginia. Several times, she took her children to Maine to be close to her Canadian family while Bill deployed to hot spots around the world. The hardest year for her was the one he spent in Vietnam. Besides her family and little dog, Diamond, her other passion was ice hockey. She loved the Montreal Canadians and Sydney Crosby.
A private graveside for the family will be held at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk. Arrangements are under the care of Peninsula Funeral Home.
