Ross Boyd, 77, of Hebron died at the Veterans' Hospital in Grand Island. He was Thayer County Highway Clerk for several years.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Hebron Journal 1968: Ross Boyd, 77, Hebron, Hiway Clerk for Thayer County for a number of years, passed away Saturday, Jan. 6, at the Veterans Hospital in Grand Island, following a long illness. Survivors are his wife, Alta, three sons, Lester of St. Louis, Mo.; Otis of Rushville and Alfred serving with the Armed Forces in Vietnam; two daughters, Juanita Kassebaum, Hebron and Ruth Baloun of York; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Jan. 10, at Traums Funeral Home in Fairbury, with burial in Rose Creek Cemetery at Reynolds.
