Mrs. Cora Reynolds Shorter, 82, of 3118 Makeway Drive, former owner of the Mayflower Restaurant and wife of Luther S. Shorter, died Saturday at Providence Hospital. Born in Pelion, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Reynolds. She attended Park Street Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Billy Rawls of Columbia, Mrs. Cleo Lully of Cayce and Mrs. Betty Jackson of Chapin; a son, Earl Reeder; a sister, Mrs. Sally Dauth; four brothers, Adolph R. and J. Wilson Reynolds of Columbia, J. C. Reynolds of West Columbia and Lucius Reynolds of Atlanta; 11 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Services will be 3 p.m. Monday at Dunbar Funeral Home, Gervais Street chapel, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Robert L. Deneen. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
