Peggy Lee Cochran Daniels, 68, of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, formerly of Beckley, West Virginia and Colorado Spring, Colorado, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016. She was born in Welch, West Virginia to the late Lloyd Cochran and Margaret Toth Cochran.
She graduated as valedictorian of the 1966 class of Oceana High School. She achieved a masters degree in Nursing. She worked several years as an RN at Raleigh General Hospital where she was head nurse. She retired in November 2014 from the Grand Strand Medical Center, Myrtle Beach. After retirement she enjoyed traveling and visiting with her sons, grandchildren and family. For a pastime she also enjoyed being a Mary Kay representative. She was a member of the Beckley United Methodist Temple.
In addition to her parents, she is preced in death by her husband of 30 years, Gregory "Greg" Miley Daniels who passed away September 26, 1999; nephew, Bradley Shumate, in-laws, William "Bud" T. and Quinnie Adams Daniels.
Survivors: Her sons, Scott (wife Jennifer) and Chris; four precious grandchildren whom she loved dearly; sister, Debbie; brother-in-law, Danny; sister-in-law Joetta; seven nieces and nephews; and several great nieces, nephews; and numerous friends.
Peggy will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Services: Funeral at 1PM, Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Prosperity, with Pastor Ron Accord officiating. Family and friends served as pallbearers.
