Dorothy Lucille Wells of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on November 30, 2006 at the age of 78. She was born on March 16, 1928 in Waxahachie, Texas to Almer Alexander Rousseau and Miriam Elizabeth Glasser Rousseau. She was married to her beloved husband Edward Darrel Wells for 54 years before he passed away in September of 2001.
Dorothy will be lovingly remembered as "Mom" not only to her own five children, but also to the numerous friends of her children and grandchildren. Dorothy had a wonderful ability to make everyone feel loved and welcomed in her home and life. She was such a warm and caring person that many of the family friends came to feel as if she was their adopted mom. She enjoyed every aspect of her children’s and grandchildren’s lives including Cub Scouts, baseball, and especially football. She and Eddie were avid fans of the Calallen Wildcats where four of their grandsons played.
She is survived by her five children. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and one great-grandson. We will all miss her very much.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 1, 2006 at Seaside Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2006 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to arthritis foundation or to the Gulf Coast Humane Society.
