Predeceased by his wife, he married 31 March 1827 the also widowed Margaret (Berkley) Bernard/Barnard. They had one child, a daughter, who married Robert Findlay. 182322193 & 182321911
Rather remarkably William fathered his last child in 1828 when he was more than 75 years of age. He died from cholera during the epidemic of 1832.
