Dennis started work at CHYR and then moved on to CKLW as a board technician for several years until he worked his way up to becoming one of their DJ's, known as "Chuck Mackay". Dennis was very passionate about his music and had a great love for all animals and he cared for many over his lifetime.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/windsor-on/dennis-rowley-8018637 for the Rowley family. Memorial donations in his honor can be made to the Canadian Lung Cancer Society.
Dennis Rowley was among the first friends I made after coming to Leamington in the summer of 1969. I spent many weekends in Windsor with Dennis and his mother, who made me feel at home even though I was a long way from home. Dennis and his family, along with Wayne McLean and many others in the area were very kind to me and became lifelong friends. May their memories be a blessing.
