Laveta Margaret (Stone) Simpson, age 90, died peacefully with her family by her side at her home in Bethany, OK on Monday, October 29, 2018. She was born May 28, 1928 in Byars, OK to William and Martha (Jones) Stone and grew up there where she attended Byars Schools. She moved to OKC in 1945 and to Bethany in 2005. She worked in clerical and accounting for many years before retirement. She enjoyed reading, traveling and had done church volunteer work for years. Laveta was preceded in death by her parents, four sister and two brothers. She is survived by three daughters Diana Ewy of Bethany, Janice Machulis and husband Bill of Bartlesville and Teresa Black and husband Richard of Sugarland, TX. Also by four grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one brother George Stone of Purcell. Graveside rites will be held at 11am on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at the Byars Cemetery, Byars, OK with a memorial service to be held at 11am on Monday, November 19, 2018 at Church of The Servant, Oklahoma City, OK.
