Donald Clarence Cross, Sr., age 88, of Berkeley Springs, WV, died on Monday, October 29, 2018 at his home while surrounded by his family.

Born April 20, 1930 in Everett, PA, he was the son of the late Frank Edward Youngblood and Mary Banita Rankin Cross Youngblood.

He was a Protestant. Donald graduated from Fort Hill High School in Cumberland, MD. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and Vietnam War. Donald was a member of the Risinger-Stotler VFW Post #4019 and Alderton-Dawson American Legion Post #60 both in Berkeley Springs, WV. He worked as a self-employed carpenter. Donald enjoyed watching western movies and putting jigsaw puzzles together.

Donald is survived by his children, Nikki Jean King and Mary Beth Peck, Janice Carol Miller, Sandy Jean Vandemark, Barbara Ann Spielman all of Berkeley Springs, WV, one brother, Charles Cross of Hedgesville, WV, twenty grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Joan Ann Griffin Cross on April 28, 2015, one son, Donald Clarence Cross, Jr., two brothers, Stanley Cross and Joseph Cross.

Services and burial in Bethel Cemetery, Route 522 South, Berkeley Springs, WV will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Morgan County Vietnam Memorial Fund, c/o Chuck Hampe, 1337 Pious Ridge Road, Berkeley Springs, WV 25411.
