She was born on July 5, 1935 in Boston, MA, the daughter of the late Walter and Beatrice Walker Brown. Her higher education included the Plymouth Teachers College, Wellesley College and the Utica School of Commerce. On December 28, 1958, she was united in marriage with Dean G. Burt; he passed away in 2005.
Esther was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist, a former member of the Evening Star Chapter O.E.S., a Friendly Home Party sales representative and a member of the Resident Council at the Masonic Home. She enjoyed playing computer games and the activities at the Masonic Home.
Esther is survived by five children and their respective spouses, Glenn Burt, of Bennington, VT, Deanna Burt-Stubley and Matthew Stubley, of Ilion, Robyn Burt Cadwell and Steve Cadwell, of Little Falls, Walter Burt and Dr. Du Xaio-Burt, of Shanghai, China and Eric Burt and Karen-March Burt, of Whitesboro. She had nine grandchildren, Mikala and Mackenzie Stubley, Jennifer Giaquinto, Stephanie and Steve Cadwell, Gabriella Burt and Eric, Jr., Kavla and Ryan Burt. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Peter and Gail Brown, of NH.
A Celebration of Esther's Life will be held on Sunday, October 7, 2018 in the Meditation Chapel of the Masonic Home in Utica. She will be laid to rest with her husband in Saratoga National Cemetery .
