He was born on March 3, 1934 in Croswell to the late Phillip & Nellie (Turner) DaFoe. He and Doris Moutoux were united in marriage on June 12, 1954 in Port Huron. Leroy served in the US Army in Okinawa from 1956-1958. He was a retired employee of General Motors, retiring in 1990 after 23 years. In 1990, Doris and Leroy moved to Harbor Beach and managed the Huron Estates Mobile Home Village from 1993-2012. He was a Proud member of the Harbor Beach Lions Club, and Zion Lutheran Church. Leroy Enjoyed the Port Hope Seniors, Bowling, Hunting, Boating, and the Coffee Clutch at the Community House with his buddies.
Leroy is survived by his wife of 63 years, Doris, of Harbor Beach, children: Vicki Lynn DaFoe of Midalnd, Deborah Jean (Randy) LeClair, one grandson Corey LeClair, and on great grandson, Wyatt LeClair, brothers: Rev. Warren DaFoe of Indianpolis, Gayle DaFoe of New Mexico, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Nellie DaFoe.
Cremation has taken place at Sunset Valley Crematory of Bay City. A graveside service will be held on October 22, 2018, at 11 am at Rock Falls Cemetery, with Rev. Leo Thoms officiating. Arrangements are being handled by the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach.
