Tom was born on November 30, 1931 in Wakaw Hospital to Peter and Hazel Rindal, the eldest of three children. He grew up on the Rindal Homestead in the Northern Light area. He spent his youth playing ball and hockey for Northern Light Royals and working as a hired hand for many farms. He started his career with Burns in 1956, moved to Weyburn in 1964 to work for the Department of Agriculture, and returned to Prince Albert in 1978 to finish off his career, retiring in 1991.
Tom was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Hazel Rindal; his in-laws Bill and Frieda Swain; 8 brothers-in-law and 3 sisters-in-law.
