A. Thomas Kay, 78, of 6453 Newport Road, Warners, died Tuesday at Community-General Hospital.
A native of Gallagher, W.Va., Mr. Kay also lived in Utica and Syracuse before moving to Warners in 1948. He retired in 1976 after 30 years with Crucible Specialty Metals.
Surviving are his wife, the former Eleanor Eells; six sons, Stephen, Jeffrey and Brian, all of Warners, Timothy of Camillus, Douglas of Baldwinsville and James of Antioch, Ill.; a daughter, Deborah Weiner of Warners; a sister, Helen Lou Stacey of Glen Cove; a brother, Vincent Stacey of DeLand, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Buranich Funeral Home, Camillus. Burial is in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Warners.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, 5431 W. Genesee St.
Contributions may be made to Warners Fire Department or Warners United Methodist Church.
