Plate Shower for Miss Manasmith at the Morford Home
From two to six last Saturday afternoon, Miss Ula Morford very pleasantly entertained about fifteen girls at a plate shower at her country home at Fairview, for Miss Ada M. Manasmith in honor of her approaching marriage to Charles E. Morford. That afternoon was very pleasantly spent in conversation, music and other amusements. Probably the most amusing to all present was the shaking of the cat in a quilt to ascertain the next bride. Following this was the showering of the bride-elect when seated in a large chair she received the plates from each guest with best wishes and a hearty kiss. They then repaired to the dining room where a dainty repast was served. The house was prettily decorated in pink and green. At the appointed hour the guests took their departure leaving behind many beautiful presents, also their best wishes and congratulations for the bride-elect.
