Walter H. “Buddy” McClain, 78, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018 in Jacksonville, Florida.
He was born May 27, 1940 to Reginald and Bertice McClain in Jacksonville, Florida. He is survived by his daughter Angela Mullane (Matthew), son Michael McClain (Tonya), granddaughter Leslie Boswell (Brian), brother Ray McClain (Linda) sister Patricia Crumpton, several nieces and nephews and special friend Joyce Chevalier. Buddy was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Mary Deloris McClain (August 31, 2013).
Buddy was an avid fisherman, enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family before the effects of Alzheimer’s started to take these things away several years ago. Over the last year and a half, Buddy had been cared for by the staff at Almost Home Assisted Living Facility, as well as Community Hospice. He will be missed by everyone there, along with all of his family and friends.

Arrangements under the care of Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. Family will receive friends for viewing and visitation on Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 11am to 12 Noon. Funeral services will be held immediately following the visitation with interment at Riverside Memorial Park.
