A celebration of life for Paul Ross Moore is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Landmark Baptist Church in Mt. Enterprise with Rev. Darrel Owens officiating. Burial will be in the Old Prospect Cemetery under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral home.

Paul went to be with our Lord on November 4, 2018.

He was born July 7, 1945 to John and Jeanette Moore.

He grew-up in the Mt. Enterprise community with his ten siblings.

He graduated from Mt. Enterprise High School in 1963. Paul continued his education at Stephen F. Austin, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Education and a Master's Degree.

He spent his early career teaching in El Campo, Diboll and Henderson, Texas, eventually coming home to Mt. Enterprise. There he taught, became Elementary School Principal and retired as Superintendent after 39 years of service.

He and Carolyn Strong Moore were married on August 9, 1969 and were happily married for 49 years.

Paul loved God and his church. He was a faithful member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church for 55 years, where he taught Sunday School, served as a deacon and Sunday School Director.

Paul loved his family. He loved them fully, joyfully, and unconditionally with a kind heart.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, bailing hay with his grandson, and spending time with family, especially his six grandchildren.

Loving survivors include his wife, Carolyn Strong Moore; son, Chad and Leslie Moore of Tyler, Texas, and son Matt and Brandy Moore of Mt. Enterprise, Texas; grandchildren, Hunter Moore and his wife Tayler, and Hannah Moore of Mt. Enterprise; and Gus, Kate, and Claire Moore of Tyler, Texas; siblings, Don Moore, Jackie Williams and husband Dave, Martha Gage, Mary Barnes, JoNell White; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Danny Flanagan, Johnny Penney, Arthur Clemons, Tommy Freeman, Hunter Moore, Gus Moore, Darrel Owens, and Dave Williams.

Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas Walker, Clay Freeman, and the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church Deacons: Kyle Keeling, Kenneth Wilson, Justin Williams, and Eddie Turner.

Visitation will be at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church , Mt, Enterprise from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2018.
