Mrs. Margaret Abram
Mrs. Margaret (Maggie )Abram, 82, of New Lexington Route 1 died at 1:30 p.m. Thursday (Aug. 21) at Good Samaritan Hospital following an eight-month illness.
She was born Sept. 19, 1887, in Jackson County, a daughter of the late Amos and Jennie Stone Sowards.
Surviving are her husband, Bud Abram; five daughters, Mrs. Hazel Hill and Mrs. Esther Rose, both of New Lexington, Mrs. Laura McCord and Mrs. Florence Paxson, both of Crooksville Route 2, and Mrs. Thelma Quinn of Moxahala; six sons, Leonard, Chester and Samuel Abram, all of New Lexington, Homer of Bristol, and Donald nad Elvie, both of New Lexington Route 1; 51 grandchildren; 84 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; and a foster brother, Ben Sowerds of Roseville. Two children, a brother, and three sisters are deceased.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at Chute-Wiley Funeral Home in New Lexington.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Church of Nazarene in New Lexington with Rev. Franklin Dunkle officiating. Burial will be in New Lexington Cemetery.
