Mrs. Eva Belle Lindsay, of 2809 S. Sixteenth St., died at 9:55 p.m., April 21, 1957, at Memorial hospital where she had been a patient since March 9. She was 56 years old.

Mrs. Lindsay was born April 13, 1900 at French Lick, Ind., a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Crowe.

She resided in Springfield for 27 years and was a member of the Salvation Army.

She had been in ill health for 12 years.

She is survived by her husband, Louis; one son, George, with the U.S. army; three daughters, Mrs. Eleanor McCleary and Miss Ruby Calvin, both of Springfield; and Mrs. Eva Miller, of Thomasville; four grandchildren; one brother, George Crowe; and two sisters, Mrs. Walter Kellams and Mrs. Mae Byrd, all of French Lick, Ind.

Remains were at Kirlin & Egan funeral and were removed to the Salvation Army citadel where services were held.

Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
