Thomas L. Beyer
September 16, 1945 - October 14, 2016
Thomas L. "Tom" Beyer of Eagle River passed away Friday, October 14, 2016 at the age of 71 after a battle with cancer while under the care of hospice at home with his loving wife by his side. He was born September 16, 1945 to Henry and Elizabeth (Murphy) Beyer in Shreveport, Louisiana and was their only child. When Tom was about six months old they moved to Albert Lea, Minnesota. After a few years there they moved to Bismarck, North Dakota where he graduated from Bismarck High School in 1963. In high school he was a member of the swim team where he exceeded in diving. After graduation he joined the U.S. Navy and served five or six years. Later in life Tom moved to Wisconsin where he met and married the love of his life, Judy Clark on June 3, 1978. He loved golfing, was the co-owner of Lake Forest golf and Recreation Area in Eagle River and had a love of cars including his 2001 Corvette.
Tom is survived by his wife of 38 years, Judy Beyer along with his mother-in-law Joyce Clark and 3 brother-in-laws, Tom, Bob and Don.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 12, 2016 at St. Augustine's Episcopal Church at 11:00am with Mother Meredyth Albright officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service at the church located at 39 S Pelham St., Rhinelander.
