As the matriarch of her family, Marjorie was a godly example of what a mother should be. Everything she did revolved around the care and well being of those she loved. With great passion, Marjorie loved and defended her family. Her grandchildren could always count on her being in attendance for any event they were involved in.
Marjorie's family have many fond memories of great food and fellowship around her table. Everyone always looked forward to her chicken pastry, vegetable soup, turkey salad and her world famous cheeseball. Good ice cream always brought a smile to Marjorie.
Marjorie loved being outside in nature. She loved this time of year when she could set out her pansies. Taking care of her flowers, garden and fruit trees brought much pleasure and enjoyment.
A lady of strong faith and a believer in the power of prayer, Marjorie was a devoted member of Daly's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
A graveside service to celebrate Marjorie's life will be held Monday, November 5, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Daly's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
Marjorie is survived by her husband of almost 57 years, William Carroll Cruse; five children, William Carroll Cruse Jr., Beth Foyles and husband, Dennis, James Cruse and wife, Renea, Lynn Goff and husband, Kenny, Robert Cruse and wife, Barbara; four brothers, Donnie, Melvin, Kenneth and David Bazemore; 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
