James Thomas Hawley was born June 10, 1960, to Clyde and Mary Joyce Hawley in Idaho Falls, Idaho. James grew up in the Shelley, Idaho, area. He graduated from Shelley High School, where he was active in football and student government. James attended the University of Idaho, joining the Kappa Sigma fraternity. He earned a degree in Soil Science. Upon graduation, he accepted a position with the Aberdeen, Idaho, Potato Experiment Station. A few years later, he began his own Potato Consultant Business in the Idaho Falls area. He worked with potato farmers in this capacity for several years. James was an avid steelhead fisherman and a boisterous Minnesota Viking fan.
In 1996, he moved to Boise where he worked for Micron, primarily in R&D. In 2006, he married Georgeta Constantinescu and became a loving father to her three daughters.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lisa Jo Dunn. James is survived by his parents; his wife Georgeta; his three daughters, Stefanie, Corina, and Susan; his brother Briggs (Michael Morfit); sisters Rebecca Haley and Mary (Steve) Hill; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins. James will always be remembered as a kind, generous, and loving person.
Services will be held Wednesday, November 14, 2018, 2:00 p.m., at Relyea Funeral Chapel, 318 N. Latah St., Boise., with a visitation held at the same location on Tuesday, November 13, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Burial will take place immediately after the service at Morris Hill Cemetery, Boise.
