Margaret Catherine Riethman, age 83, of Ravenna, died Saturday morning, April 22, 2006, at The Gardens of Western Reserve in Streetsboro.
Born October 21, 1922, in Manhattan, New York, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (McHue) Condon, and had lived in Ravenna since 1952. Mrs. Riethman had attended the First Christian Church of Ravenna, was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Ravenna Chapter # 46, was a Girl Scout Troop leader in Ravenna, and enjoyed traveling. She was retired from Pyramid Rubber of Ravenna, and later worked with AAA in Ravenna and also with General Electric.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara and her husband, Russell Grubaugh of Simpsonville, South Carolina; grandson, James and his wife, Kelly Grubaugh of Akron; caregiver and special niece, Margaret and her husband, Don Swauger of Kent; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Mary Condon of New Jersey; and a brother-in-law, Joe Berry of Kingsville, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence P. Riethman in 1986 and brothers, John and Bob Condon.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Wood-Kortright Funeral Home, 703 East Main Street, Ravenna, Ohio 44266, where services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2006, officiated by Reverend Dr. Perry Mattern and Wayne Enders. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Ravenna.
