Charles W. Archer, age 80, of North East, died on Sunday, November 11, 2018, at home. He was born on June 23, 1938, on Law Road, in North East, Pa., the son of the late Emery Edward and Mabel Beula (Richter) Archer.
He was formerly employed by Welch Foods as a boiler fireman and watchman for 42 years. Charles was also employed by Kaiser Aluminum, Rigid Steele, Fischer Security, and Jiffy Foods. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose and enjoyed hunting, fishing, animals, and gardening. He will be remembered as a strong family provider who lived by his own convictions.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Stella M. (Smith) Archer; and grandson, Steven M. Archer.
