Mrs. Gilbert was born June 1, 1907, in Eugene and moved to Portland as a child. Her maiden name was Baldwin [sic]. She graduated from Jefferson High School and Behnke Walker Business College. She worked for Ad-Mail Inc. for about 20 years, retiring in 1984 as an assistant to the manager. She was a former member of Piedmont Presbyterian Church. In 1927, she married Richard D.; he died in 1967.
Survivors include her sons, Richard D. of Portland and Jack E. of Napa, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
The family suggests remembrances to the Diabetic Children's Camp Foundation.
