history listed in " History of Webster County, Georgia", Compiled by Weston (GA) Woman's Club, W. H. Wolfe Associates, Roswell, GA, 1980 ed. page 367. FAmily history written by Velma Burks says that both Oscar Nowlen and his wife Emma Johnson are in unmarked graves here. History says family moved from Marion County to Webster County in 1893. So Oscar would have been born in Webster..but house may have been near county line, also.
